Lamu County to train 30 referees and 30 coaches by November

The Lamu County Governor Issa Abdallah Timamy presided over a Youths prize giving; those participated in Governor’s Cup at Mwanaarafa hall in Lamu.

The sports director, Peter Ndichu said, late September or early November they have set an amount of money for training 30 referees and 30 coaches from Lamu.

He also added, those who have completed either primary or secondary education and have not joined universities they should register themselves at Lamu polytechnic free of charge for engineering, plumbing and welding courses to prepare themselves for the coming LAPSSET project.

The Governor said, he is expecting by July engineering courses in Lamu polytechnic will commence and a GIZ, a Germany company has sponsored 27 million worth equipment for polytechnic.
