County government of Lamu is striving in improving education through encouraging teachers by awarding them

HE Governor Issa Abdallah Timami, accompanied by the Deputy Governor Eric Mugo , CEC  for Education  Khamisi Kaviha, Cordinator of Education Abdallah Barghash  at Lamu Boys Primary School  for prize giving ceremony  today.

Lamu County Government is striving in improving education through encouraging teachers by awarding them for the best performance of the last year’s KCPE results.  This act is believed to be the main reason for the Lamu County schools to produce better performances as it will encourage both the teachers and students in working harder.

The governor promised the fence between Lamu boys primary and Mkomani girls primary school proposed by the treasurer of the Mkomani girls primary, Adam Bakari, will be built to provide conducive studying environment for the students.

He however called upon the parents to cooperate with teachers and student s in improving education for the Lamu County.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor promised security for the teachers and the student where police officers will be more vigilant to the respective environments to ensure schools are comfortable and confident. He also urged teachers to work together with the county police officers in maintain security for the schools.
