Tchundwa Residents Benefit From County Government

Tchundwa residents for the first time since independence own their land permanently, despite of the locals being there.

On 9th May 10, 2017, County Government through the Ministry of Land and Water, more than 600 title deeds were handed over to Tchundwa residents by H.E Governor accompanied by Faza ward MCA Abass Famau,C.E.C for Education Khamisi Kaviha, C.O for Lands Florence Ndung’u and other County Government officials.

Land being a sensitive issue all over the county, Governor Issa Abdalla Timamy said,

Land surveying will be done for the Lamu citizens to ensure they all have title deeds for their land.

A farmer receives seeds and fertilizers from the Governor

County Government, during this rainy season, has also distributed seeds and fertilizers to the farmers from Tchundwa. Agriculture and livestock department is struggling to ensure farmers get seeds and fertilizers so that they can carry on with their farming activities. County Government has also offered 2 tractors and a boat to the farmers. During his speech, Governor promised that he will also provide fishermen with nets and boat machines.
