Lamu County Governor Fahim Twaha has today witnessed the swearing in of Mr. Abdalla Mohamed Fadhil to be the new Chairman of Lamu County’s Public Service Board.
Mr. Fadhil who was nominated in January this year, was sworn in having been successfully vetted and approved by the Assembly alongside other three bursary board members who also took oath of office today.
Speaking during the event, Governor Fahim thanked the assembly for having approved the nomination of Mr. Mohamed and further promised to ensure the administration support towards the board.
The 53 year-old Mr. Mohamed who served as a councilor in Shella (1992-2002) is currently pursuing a PhD in Strategic Management at the University of Nairobi (UoN) and a Masters Degree in Governance and Ethics at Mount Kenya University. He holds an MBA in Operations, a Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomacy and International Studies, and a Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Nairobi.
Other bursary board members sworn in today include; Mr. Facade Mohamed Musa, Ms. Bakar Athman and Ms. Susan Kibathi.
Also in attendance was; Deputy Governor Hon. Abdulhakim Bwana, County Secretary Mr. John Mburu, CECMs, MCAs’ among others.
