Governor Fahim Twaha has today overseen the issuance of appointment letters to 19 new county officials

The new officials will be deployed to serve in different capacities in different County departments across the county.

Speaking during the event that was held at the County Headquarters, Lamu County Public Service Board Chairman, Abdalla Mohamed Fadhil said the board exercised fairness and due diligence in filling the positions of ;

-Director medical services (1 post)

-Human resource office (1 post),

-Quality assurance officer (1 post),

-Physical planners (4 posts)

-Deputy Director Supply Chain -Management (1 post)

-Supply chain management services ii (5 posts)

-Supply chain management services iii (3 posts) and

-Chief supply chain management services (3 posts).

“Lamu County will continue giving priority to our youths when hiring, the Departments have been recruiting to ensure that we close the gap of human capital which will in-turn improve service delivery to mwananchi” Said Governor Fahim when he congratulated the new officers.

He further appealed to the new officials to adhere to the Public Service code of conduct and ethics as they discharge their duties warning that those who will not adhere to the code of ethics will not be tolerated in his Administration. “Mwananchi has a lot of expectations from you, and it’s your responsibility to ensure that with the offices you hold you will serve them indiscriminately” added the governor.

In attendance were County Executive Committee Members, County Secretary, Chief Officers, County Public Service Board Members among others.
