KISIP 2 County Project Coordination Team led by Chief Officer for Lands, Natural Resources, Physical Planning and Urban development Mr. Ahmed Ali, on Monday handed over four sites for informal settlement of Faza, Kiunga, Matondoni, Mokowe,Witu and Wiyoni.

The Chief Officer also introduced to the contractor, Settlement Executive Committee and Grievances Redress Committee and they will work together towards the completion of the projects.

Babito General Contractors and Supplies Limited, will construct roads with storm drains and paved footpaths of bitumen standards as well as high mast solar powered flood lights in selected Informal settlements.

The project is being funded by the Word bank in conjunction with the state department of Lands and Lamu County Government.

Hindu Salim a SEC member of Wiyoni Settlements assured the contractor of their support during the implementation of the project.

H.E the Governor Issa Timamy is expected to officiate ground breaking of the said project.
