GOVERNOR TIMAMY HANDS OVER 28 CATTLE TO WITU YOUTH GROUP UNDER KEMFSED

Governor Issa Timamy has officially handed over 28 improved beef cattle to Witu Youth Group under the KEMFSED project, implemented through the County Government of Lamu. The initiative aims to promote livestock farming as a sustainable livelihood and boost household incomes in Witu Ward.

During the handover, Governor Timamy, who is in Witu Ward on a tour to inspect government projects and meet residents, encouraged the youth to take advantage of the market gap, advising them not to sell the cattle prematurely and to treat the project as their own for long-term prosperity.

Project Coordinator Shariff Kamalu said the county will monitor progress closely and urged members to care for the livestock diligently.
