LAMU COUNTY HOSTS SAUDI INVESTORS TO EXPLORE OPPORTUNITIES ALONG LAPSSET CORRIDOR
Lamu Deputy Governor Dr. Mbarak Bahjaj on Thursday hosted a delegation of prominent leaders and private investors from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by H.E. Ambassador Khalid Alzahrani and the Chairman of the Saudi Chambers of Commerce, Sheikh Mubarak Aldorari.
The delegation is on a mission to explore investment opportunities and partnerships in Lamu County, particularly along the LAPSSET Corridor. This engagement aligns with Governor Issa Timamy’s development agenda on investment, as the county leadership continues to make deliberate efforts to attract investors in a bid to open up Lamu County while creating employment opportunities and promoting prosperity for the people of Lamu.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the County Secretary, Ambassador Abbas, the Trade CECM, Hon. Aisha Miraj, Shella MCA Hon. Atwaa Salim, and the President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Eric Ruto, among other senior officials.
