GOVERNOR TIMAMY KICKS OFF ONE-WEEK LAMU EAST DEVELOPMENT TOUR

On Friday, Governor H.E. Issa Timamy launched a one-week development tour of Lamu East Sub-County aimed at inspecting ongoing projects and engaging communities on the County Government’s development agenda. The Governor is accompanied by senior county officials, chief officers, and departmental heads as he visits key sectors including water, health, education, infrastructure, and agriculture.

The tour will provide an opportunity to assess the progress of flagship projects, address implementation challenges, and identify priority areas requiring urgent intervention. Residents and local leaders are also being given a platform to share their concerns and development needs directly with the county leadership.

Speaking at the start of the tour, Governor Timamy reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development, stating, “Our goal is to ensure that every ward in Lamu East benefits from meaningful and impactful projects that improve service delivery and uplift the livelihoods of our people”

County officials noted that feedback gathered during the tour will inform policy direction and budget prioritization to accelerate development across the sub-county.
