GOVERNOR TIMAMY INSPECTS KIUNGA HEALTH FACILITY THEATRE DURING LAMU EAST TOUR

Lamu Governor H.E. Issa Timamy, EGH, on Friday inspected the theatre at Kiunga Health Facility as part of his ongoing weeklong development tour of Lamu East Sub-County. The visit focused on assessing the condition of the medical facility and identifying gaps that require urgent intervention to improve healthcare services for residents.

The Governor was accompanied by County Secretary Amb. Ali Abbas, members of the County Executive Committee, Chief Officers, and other senior county officials, who provided briefings on the status of ongoing and planned health sector projects in the area.

Speaking to residents and health workers, Governor Timamy reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the health sector through increased investment in equipment, staffing, and facility upgrades to ensure quality and accessible care for all.

The weeklong tour will see the Governor visit several wards across Lamu East, where he is expected to inspect additional projects, engage communities through public forums, and commission completed development initiatives.
