Lamu County Governor H.E Issa Timamy accompanied by his Deputy H.E Raphael Munyua attended the just-concluded Governors and Deputy Governors retreat on Public Finance, Procurement and Human Resource Management in the Counties held at the Great Rift Valley Lodge, Naivasha.

Organized by the Council of Governors-Kenya the purpose of the retreat was to address common challenges affecting County Governments with regards to Public Finance, Procurement and Human Resource Management with a view to facilitate smooth service delivery across the forty-seven (47) County Governments.

Themed “Public Finance, Procurement and Human Resource Management in Counties: What Works?” the two-day forum brought together Governors, Deputy Governors, the National Treasury, Office of Controller of Budget, Office of the Auditor General, Commission on Revenue Allocation, Public Procurement Regulatory Authority, Salaries and Remuneration Commission, Development Partners & Private Sector.
