GOVERNOR TIMAMY COMMISSIONS DJABIA WATER HARVESTING PROJECT AT BWAJUMWALI UNDER KEMFSED

Lamu Governor H.E. Issa Timamy on Sunday commissioned the Djabia water harvesting project at Bwajumwali under the KEMFSED initiative, marking a major boost to water access for local communities. The project is expected to improve household water security, support livestock, and enhance resilience to climate challenges.

Speaking during his ongoing development tour of Lamu East, Governor Timamy reaffirmed the county government’s commitment to investing in sustainable water infrastructure and community-driven projects. KEMFSED Project Coordinator Mr. Kamalu highlighted the project’s role in strengthening livelihoods and promoting environmental conservation across the region.
