Governor Issa Timamy has officially handed over dairy cows to Taufiq Self Help Group in Witu Ward under the KEMFSED Phase III programme, boosting efforts to improve household incomes and food security. The group received 24 cows as part of a dairy production project aimed at improving dairy farming through alternative livelihoods.

Speaking during the handover, the Governor said the introduction of improved dairy breeds, construction of cow sheds, and provision of feeds and veterinary support will enhance milk production and strengthen economic resilience.

Beneficiaries thanked the Governor and the county government for the project, saying it will transform their livelihoods and secure a better future for their families.
