Siyu residents have every reason to smile after receiving title deeds on Monday, in an event that was presided over by H.E Governor Issa Timamy EGH, OGW in Siyu, Faza ward.

According to the governor, the new landowners can now use the titles to access credit facilities from financial institutions, affording them the chance to grow their businesses and build permanent homes, free from ownership uncertainties.

This significant milestone comes as part of the ongoing efforts by Governor Timamy’s administration to address land tenure challenges and secure land ownership for residents, ultimately unlocking the economic potential of Siyu and Faza ward at large.

The governor is in Lamu East on a development tour where he has been commissioning and inspecting county government projects.
