GOVERNOR TIMAMY LAUNCHES COMMUNITY LAND PROJECT IN CHALALUMA-DIDE WARIDE
Lamu Governor Issa Timamy EGH, OGW, on a three-day development tour in Witu, has launched the conversion and registration of approximately 10,000 acres of unregistered land at Chalaluma-Dide Waride into community land. The project, expected to be completed by June 2026, will give the Orma community recognized land rights for grazing and other activities.
Speaking during the launch on Friday, the governor donated aluminium milk cans for dairy farming, juakali start-up kits for youth workshops, and sports kits.
The Governor who is in a 3 days working tour in Witu was accompanied by Deputy Governor Dr. Mbarak Mohamed, County Secretary Amb. Ali Abbas, Chief of Staff Mr. Abdulnasir Issa, CECMs, Chief Officers, and other senior county officials.
