GOVERNOR TIMAMY LAUNCHES GALLA GOAT REARING PROJECT IN MOA VILLAGE

‎Lamu Governor Issa Timamy has launched a Galla goat rearing project in Moa Village, Witu Ward, aimed at improving household livelihoods and boosting economic resilience among local communities.

‎The project, implemented by the County Government of Lamu through the Kenya Marine Fisheries Socio-Economic Development (KEMFSED) Project, Phase III, will benefit the Moa Exodus Women Self Help Group, which has received 105 Galla goats and a modern goat house to support proper rearing and management.

‎Group members expressed their gratitude, describing the initiative as a major step toward improving household incomes and strengthening food and nutritional security.

‎Speaking during the launch, Governor Timamy also distributed aluminium milk cans, juakali start-up kits, sports kits and fishing nets further supporting income-generating activities, entrepreneurship, and youth engagement in the community.
