GOVERNOR TIMAMY LAUNCHES LABORATORY UPGRADE AT WITU HOSPITAL

Governor Issa Timamy has officially launched a laboratory upgrade at Witu Hospital, equipping the facility with a Hematology Analyzer and a Biochemistry Analyzer.

The Hematology Analyzer performs tests such as complete blood count (CBC), hemoglobin levels, white blood cell counts, and platelet counts, while the Biochemistry Analyzer conducts tests including liver function, kidney function, blood glucose, cholesterol, and electrolytes.

The Governor, who is in Witu Ward to inspect and commission government projects, was joined by DG Mbarak Bahjaj and the Health CECM, who noted that the new laboratory will reduce referrals to distant facilities and significantly improve service delivery for patients.

Witu residents and staff welcomed the upgrade, saying it will enhance diagnosis, treatment, and overall healthcare quality at the facility.
