GOVERNOR TIMAMY OFFICIATES HANDOVER OF 100 HOUSES FOR SANYE COMMUNITY IN SHEKALE

On Sunday, Governor Issa Timamy officiated the official handover of 100 newly built houses in Shekale village, constructed in memory of Hafiz Sadik. The houses, aimed at improving the living standards of the Sanye community, were implemented by Al-Imdaad Foundation in partnership with the Lamu County Government.

During the ceremony, beneficiaries received essential household items to complement their new homes. Governor Timamy emphasized that the initiative is focused on providing people with a decent life, ensuring minority communities are not left behind, and is not driven by politics.

“This project reflects our commitment to caring for all residents, especially marginalized groups like the Sanye community. Everyone deserves dignity and a safe place to call home,” the Governor said.
