GOVERNOR TIMAMY PLEDGES NEW ECDE CLASS AND FULL SCHOLARSHIP AS HE TOURS WITU WARD

Amkeni Village, Witu Ward — Governor Issa Timamy has committed to the construction of a new ECDE classroom at Amkeni within the current financial year as part of efforts to strengthen early childhood education across the county.

During the visit, the Governor awarded a full scholarship to a top-performing Amkeni Primary School student who scored an impressive mean of 70 out of 72 in the KJSEA examinations and has joined Kagumo High School. He congratulated the school for its sterling performance, noting that 11 students qualified to join national schools. The Governor attributed the success to discipline and dedication, urging learners and teachers to “keep the fire burning.”

The Governor also handed over a certificate of registration to the Witu Cooperative, reaffirming the county’s support for organized community groups as drivers of local economic growth.

The event took place on Saturday as part of the Governor’s three-day development tour of Witu Ward, which concludes today, Sunday. The tour involved inspections of ongoing government projects and public barazas with residents, accompanied by senior county officials.
