KIWAYU CARPENTERS RECEIVE A BOOST AFTER GOVERNOR TIMAMY ISSUES THEM WITH CARPENTRY TOOLS
The County Government of Lamu, through the department of Trade and Investment, has issued carpentry equipment to Kiwayu carpenters in an initiative that seeks to help uplift their economic status.
Speaking in Kiwayu, Governor Timamy said his administration has been issuing carpentry tools across the county in a move that will help the youth become self-employed and create employment opportunities for other youths.
He further implored the beneficiaries to use the equipment responsibly to ensure their economic growth.
The governor, who was accompanied by top county government officials and nominated MCA Hon. Medo, is in Lamu East on a development tour where he has been commissioning and inspecting county government projects.
