LAMU MOVES CLOSER TO KDSP II FUNDING WITH STAFF REVIEW

The County Government of Lamu has taken a key step toward qualifying for the Kenya Devolution Support Programme (KDSP) II Level 2 grant after conducting a review and validation workshop on its staff establishment and organizational structure.

The session, led by Technical Program Committee Chairman Amb. Ali Abbas, brought together Chief Officers, the Municipal Manager, and members of the Lamu County Public Service Board (LCPB) to finalize the framework.

The exercise is a mandatory requirement for accessing KDSP II funding, with an approved structure expected to strengthen service delivery and support the county’s development agenda. The county reaffirmed its commitment to meeting all requirements as it moves closer to securing the grant.

Those in attendance included CPSB CEO Amina and Project Program Coordinator/ICT Chief Officer Mr. Rashid Dirie.
