The Department of Water and Energy has successfully completed and handed over the Manda Water Project to the Lamu Water and Sewerage Company (LAWASCO), marking a major milestone in addressing the long-standing water challenges in that area.

The new infrastructure is expected to provide clean and reliable water to over 200 households in Manda.

The project includes the installation of three water points and direct water connections to key community facilities, such as Manda Primary School and the local mosque.

This development is set to improve not only the community’s access to water but also its overall health and well-being.
