Lamu Governor H.E Issa Timamy EGH, OGW has affirmed that his administration will continue supporting Vocational Training Centers across the county towards offering a variety of technical and life skill courses, including ICT, dressmaking, beauty treatment and hairdressing, hospitality, plumbing, henna painting, electrical, building and construction, carpentry, welding, and motor vehicle mechanic.

Speaking after conducting an inspection tour of Kizingitini Vocational Training Center, the Governor who was accompanied by Education CECM Hon. Sebastian Owanga, urged students to enroll in VTCs since his administration had waived tuition fees, offering free learning materials and ensuring there’s progressive recruitment of instructors.

The Governor arrived in Kizingitini on Thursday on a two day working tour accompanied by members of the Executive and top government officials where he is inspecting government projects and holding public barazas with wananchi.
