Governor Issa Timamy has officially opened the new Witu Market, which will accommodate over 70 traders who previously lacked a proper place to trade. The modern market provides a clean, organized, and secure environment for business, enabling local entrepreneurs to operate comfortably and efficiently.

Speaking from Witu Ward on a three-day development tour that began Friday, emphasized that the market is part of the county government’s commitment to supporting livelihoods and promoting economic growth.

Traders and residents expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting it will transform business activities and contribute to a vibrant local economy.
