_My fellow citizens of Lamu County, and beyond,_

As we embark on the journey of 2025, we do so with renewed determination and a shared vision for a brighter future. This year marks the beginning of a new chapter for our county, a chapter defined by unity, hard work, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Since you entrusted me with the leadership of our great county in August 2022, I have worked tirelessly, alongside my team, to restore Lamu’s reputation and steer it towards greatness. The sacrifices we made together have not been in vain. Over the past two years, we have witnessed remarkable achievements, earning recognition both nationally and internationally.

These milestones would not have been possible without the dedication and discipline instilled in our administration and workforce. I recognize the sacrifices made by our staff, the long hours, strict adherence to codes of conduct, and the unwavering focus on serving our people. It has not been easy, but it was necessary.

Discipline has been, and will continue to be, our cornerstone. From dressing appropriately to timely reporting for duty, and above all, treating every citizen with kindness and respect, we must always remember our purpose, to serve. The privilege to work for our beloved citizens of Lamu County is not to be taken lightly. They are our true bosses, and we must earn their trust every single day.

As we look ahead, challenges remain, but so does our resolve. My doors are always open to ideas and visions that will propel our county to greater heights. Let us embrace a culture of collaboration, where every voice matters, and every contribution counts. Together, we can build a county that is not only worthy of admiration but also a source of pride for all.

This year, I call upon every one of us to work harder, to dream bigger, and to serve with sincerity. If we remain disciplined and united in purpose, there is no limit to what we can achieve. Lamu will become a beacon of progress, not just for Kenya but for the world.
