Lamu Governor Issa Timamy EGH, OGW, has officially commissioned the newly renovated Mkokoni social hall in Kiunga ward that will enhance talent, skills development, and social care, addressing various community needs.

Governor Timamy, while lauding the Department of Social Services, said his administration is taking stock of all idle and neglected social places to redevelop them for the benefit of the community.

The opening of Mkokoni social hall comes a day after the governor commissioned the renovation works of Siyu social hall in Faza ward.

The governor, who is on a working tour in Lamu East, further highlighted the importance of community engagement in developing these spaces.
