OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF SOLARIZATION OF MKOKONI DESALINATION PLANT

Governor H.E. Issa Timamy today officially launched the solarization of the Mkokoni Desalination Plant, a milestone in Lamu County’s efforts to provide sustainable and reliable water supply to residents. The project aims to reduce reliance on conventional energy sources while ensuring continuous access to clean water for households and businesses.

Speaking during the launch, Governor Timamy highlighted the importance of innovative solutions in addressing water scarcity and emphasized that the solarization project will lower operational costs and enhance efficiency. He noted that this initiative aligns with the county’s broader development agenda focused on infrastructure and community well-being.
