OFFICIAL OPENING OF NDAU SOCIAL HALL DURING LAMU EAST DEVELOPMENT TOUR
Governor H.E. Issa Timamy on Saturday officially opened the Ndau Social Hall during the ongoing Lamu East development tour, marking a significant milestone in the county’s efforts to strengthen community engagement and access to public services. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor Dr. Mbarak Mohamed, members of the County Executive Committee, chief officers, and local leaders, who lauded the project as a vital space for dialogue, training, and social activities.
Speaking at the event, Governor Timamy emphasized the role of community infrastructure in promoting unity, transparency, and inclusive development. He noted that the social hall will serve as a platform for youth programs, women’s groups, and public forums aimed at addressing local priorities.
Residents welcomed the opening with enthusiasm, expressing optimism that the facility will enhance civic participation and improve coordination between the county government and the people of Ndau as development initiatives continue across Lamu East in the coming weeks as more projects are rolled out countywide soon.
