Residents of Faza have a reason to smile following the launch of a plastic waste recycling project, aimed at solving the waste pollution in Faza ward.

The process of recycling waste begins with the collection of plastic waste from the community in towns and villages, which is then transported to the recycling site.

Speaking during the launch, Governor Issa Timamy EGH, OGW said the project seeks to ensure a clean environment as well as create employment, especially for the women and youth in the ward.

The project also seeks to address climate change and ecological challenges in the county.

The UDA Deputy Party Leader is in Lamu East to launch and inspect government projects and is accompanied by CECMs, chief officers, Faza MCA Hon. Simba and nominated MCA Hon. Medo.
