WITU ARTISANS GET BOOST AS GOVERNOR TIMAMY INAUGURATES JUA KALI SHADE
Governor Issa Timamy has officially inaugurated the Witu Juakali Shade, providing informal workers with a dedicated, secure, and organized space to conduct their businesses. The shade addresses long-standing challenges faced by artisans and street vendors who previously operated under unsafe or congested conditions.
During the event, Governor Timamy, who is in Witu Ward on a three-day development tour that started Friday and ends today, also handed over workshop equipment to artisans, including all tools needed to improve their productivity.
He further announced plans to construct a bus park next to the boda boda shade to decongest the town. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, saying the initiative will enhance livelihoods and working conditions in Witu.
