WORLD BANK LAUDS COUNTY GOVERNMENT OF LAMU FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF KISIP2 PROJECT
World Bank has lauded the good cooperation between the Settlement Executive Committee (SEC) of the KISIP2 project and the contractor.
This has been revealed after a delegation from the World Bank accompanied by the National Project Coordination Team (KISIP2) and that of the County when they visited the informal settlements of Wiyoni, Mokowe and Witu to evaluate the steps taken to implement the project.
More than 60 percent has been implemented in the activity of laying gravel roads and sewage pumping ditches.
In a joint session held at the office of the CEC Finance Mr. Mohamed Mbwana, the CECM emphasized on the Governor Issa Timamy commitment to ensure that the project which is funded by the World Bank, AFD and the national government has been successfully completed in order to achieve its goals.
In addition, CEC Mbwana congratulated the residents of the areas where the project is taking place for their cooperation and further urged them to consider the project as their own.
