LAMU CONTINUES TO ENHANCE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR TVET GRADUATES

In an effort to bridge the gap between education and employment, Lamu County Governor HE Issa Timamy EGH,OGW has remained committed to ensure Lamu TVET graduates are given a priority in the employment sector.

Speaking on Friday at Mokowe Command Center, the Governor noted that the county had contracted Lamu TVET graduates to undertake the renovation works at the Command Center. According to the Governor who expressed satisfaction with the ongoing works, the County will continue exploring innovative ways to enhance the employability of TVET graduates.

Towards this end, the County has modernised the TVETs by ensuring they have an aligned curriculum with industry needs, providing relevant skill development programs and understanding the demands of the modern job market.

The Governor was accompanied by Chief of Staff Mr. Abdulnasir Issa.
