ICT Chief Officer Mr. Ali Ahmed Muhdhar has said the County Government of Lamu, under the stewardship of Governor Issa Timamy EGH, OGW, is in the process of opening digital hubs in every ward in a bid to equip the youth with modern technology.

Speaking at Bahari Digital Hub, the Chief Officer emphasized the significance of digital hubs in providing the youth with access to digital services, digital skills, and opportunities to take advantage of technology for job creation.

He further encouraged the youth to embrace digital literacy and the world of AI, which will be rolled out across all digital hubs. The youth will be trained on technology and connected to the online job markets as a way to tackle unemployment.

Governor Timamy’s administration remains committed to equipping the youths with technology to unlock the digital space potential and ensure the youth are equipped with the necessary knowledge that can enable them to venture into the global digital job market.
