GROUND BREAKING FOR MBWAJUMWALI–MYABOGI FOOTBRIDGE MARKS BOOST TO CONNECTIVITY

Lamu Governor H.E. Issa Timamy on Sunday presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the Mbwajumwali–Myabogi Footbridge, a key infrastructure project aimed at improving safe movement and connectivity for residents.

The footbridge is expected to ease access to schools, markets, and health facilities, particularly during the rainy season when the area becomes difficult to traverse. Speaking during his ongoing weeklong development tour of Lamu East, Governor Timamy reiterated the county government’s commitment to investing in people-centered projects that enhance mobility and economic opportunities.

The Governor was accompanied by his Deputy and senior county officials during the event.
