GOVERNOR TIMAMY OFFICIATES OPENING OF NEW LIBRARY AT LAMU PRIMARY SCHOOL

Lamu Governor Issa Timamy, EGH, on Thursday officiated the opening of a newly constructed library at Lamu Primary School in a move aimed at strengthening education standards in Lamu County. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor, county officials, teachers, parents, and learners.

The modern facility is equipped with computers, reading desks, shelves, and a wide range of learning materials designed to promote literacy and academic excellence among pupils. Speaking during the event, Governor Timamy reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing in education infrastructure to create a conducive learning environment across the county.

School administrators welcomed the initiative, noting that the library will enhance research, nurture a strong reading culture, and benefit hundreds of learners at the institution.

The County Government expressed appreciation, noting that the library was donated by Beta Charitable Trust and Visram Foundation who were represented by Dr. Muhsin Shariff of CHEPs.
