GOVERNOR FAHIM REASSIGNS THREE COUNTY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Lamu Governor HE Fahim Twaha has announced a mini-cabinet reshuffle on monday, moving three County Executive Committee Members to new positions.
In the new changes the Deputy Governor HE Hon. Abdulhakim Aboud Bwana has been moved from the Department of Food Security, Cooperative Development, Fisheries, Blue Economy and Water Services to Department of Public Service Management and Administration.
Hon. Fahima Araphat has been moved from the Department of Finance, Budget, Strategy and Economic Planning to the Department of Food Security, Cooperative Development, Fisheries, Blue Economy and Water Services while his counterpart Hon. Abdu Godana has been moved from the Department of Public Service Management to the Department of Finance, Budget, Strategy and Economic Planning.
Four Chief Officers have also been reassigned in the latest changes, with Dr. Abdulfatah being moved to the Department of Fisheries and Blue Economy and Mr. Mohamed Rashid Dirie being reassigned to the Department of Public Health, Environment and Sanitation.
In a memo released by the County Secretary and the Head of Public Service, Mr. John Mburu the changes are aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and institutionalizing the implementation of various ongoing reforms.
