KIWAYU FISHERMEN RECEIVE FISHING GEAR FROM GOVERNOR TIMAMY
The County Government of Lamu under the stewardship of Governor Issa Timamy EGH, OGW is committed to empowering the fisherfolk by boosting livelihoods and revitalizing critical value chains that contribute to wealth generation and overall economic development.
On Tuesday, the UDA Deputy Party Leader issued fishing gear to Kiwayu fishermen in a bid to enable them to enhance household incomes and impact positively on the local community.
The governor encouraged the fishermen to utilize the equipment effectively to ensure maximum exploitation of the blue economy resources.
County Secretary Amb. Ali Abbas, CoS Mr. Abdulnasir Issa, all county CECMs, Chief Officers, and nominated MCA Hon. Medo were present.
