LAMU COUNTY WINDS UP LIQUOR LICENSING SENSITIZATION CAMPAIGN IN HINDI

The Board led by it’s Chair Mr. Kassim Athman and Director Kaviha Khamis, the board sensitized bar owners on the importance of compliance since it would greatly help eradicate sale of adulterated and second generation liquor.

According to the board, interested applicants should download an application form from the county website www.lamu.go.ke and thereafter submit a duly filled form through their respective ward administrator offices before 1st April 2024.

Bar owners thanked the Liqour Board and Governor Issa Timamy for their commitment towards ensuring the sale of alcohol is regulated within the county since it would protect legitimate sellers from police harassment as well as weed out unfair competition from vendors who sell adulterated alcohol.

Today, the board completed sensitization across the 7 wards in Lamu West and Central Sub-Counties.

In attendance was the board committee members, Hindi Ward MCA representative and Provincial Administration led by Lamu Central DCC Mr. Charles Kitheka.
