LAMU TO SAVE OVER Sh. 10 MILLION ANNUALLY ONCE THE NEW OXYGEN PLANT IS COMMISSIONED

Lamu Governor Issa Timamy EGH,OGW on Tuesday inspected the ongoing construction of King Fahd oxygen plant housing saying it supports his election promise to Lamu residents of delivering quality healthcare services.

Speaking after the inspection, the Governor said the plant which is due to arrive in Lamu next month and will serve the ICU and crucial departments.

“This plant which will save the county over Sh. 10 million shillings annually in purchasing oxygen, and will help cut on travels costs for patients who go to other counties to seek for these services” said the Governor.

Health CECM thanked Governor Timamy for his commitment towards strengthening the health sector by hiring more health workers, building dispensaries and more so equipping them to a state that can serve the community.

Also in attendance was CoS Mr. Abdulnasir Issa, Chief Officer Dr. Victor Tole, Hospital board members led by Chairlady Hon. Amina Kale, MCAs Hon. Shekhuna, Hon. Medo among others.
