MPEKETONI BOYS SECONDARY RECEIVES ANOTHER KSH 11 MILLION UNDER THE COUNTY’S FULL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

HE Governor Fahim Twaha at Mpeketoni Boys High School where he handed over the balance of Ksh. 11 million full scholarship cheque to students who are under the Governor’s full scholarship program. The County had earlier given the school a Ksh. 15 million cheque to the 590 students under full scholarship program.

The Governor congratulated the students under the scholarship program for attaining 300 marks and above in their KCPE and further assured them the county’s commitment in supporting them through their secondary education.

Lamu County offers full scholarship to students who attain 300 marks and above in their KCPE since 2018 and so far the county is sponsoring over 3,000 students within and outside the county.

The Governor was flanked by CECM Education Hon. Paul Thairu HSC, CECM Finance Hon. Fahima Araphat, CECM Trade Hon. Josphat Musembi, CECM PSM Hon. Abdu Godana, Hongwe MCA Hon. Janko, Lamu West DCC Mr. Yator and the County Bursary Board officials.
