OVER 30 BENEFICIARIES FROM MKOMANI & SHELLA WARD GET TOOLS OF TRADE TO BOOST BUSINESS

At least 30 beneficiaries including 10 youths from Mkomani and Shella ward, Lamu County have benefited from various tools of trade from the county government.

The items which included rotary sander, jigsaw, circular saw, router among others were handed over by Governor Issa Timamy on Tuesday as part of empowering the youth to start and run a business to generate an income.

The Governor further noted his administration remained committed towards ensuring a good working environment for youth, women and PWD to thrive in business.

Trade and Investment CECM Hon. Aisha Miraj said that the Department will monitor the beneficiaries progress in all businesses to ensure they have a positive impact on the youth and the society. She also noted that the department was encouraging the use of online to market their products.
