The County Government of Lamu has this afternoon extended support to victims of the fire tragedy that ravaged homes at Tewe in Bahari Ward. During the fire incident homes and property of unknown value were destroyed with nine families left homeless.

Led by Chief of Staff Mr. Abdulnasir Issa, Disaster Chief Officer Mr. Mohamed Kassim the team presented the victims of the inferno with assorted foodstuffs, PUR for water treatment, mosquito nets and tarpaulin that were donated by Governor Issa Timamy EGH, OGW.

The victims of the fire thanked His Excellency Governor Issa Timamy for his support during this difficult period.

World Vision who were also present gave the victims mats, dignity kits and blankets.

Others present was area Assistant Chief and Bahari Ward Administrator.
