Lamu County Government through Kenya Informal Settlement Improvement Project KISIP 2, has today handed over the sites to Tello Company Ltd for installation of high masts flood’s light to five settlements.

KISIP 2, is a World Bank and AFD funded project aimed at improving access to basic services and tenure security of residents in urban informal settlements and strengthening slum upgrading across the country.

Lamu County KISIP Coordinating team led by Eng. Ibrahim Ali visited the settlement from Wiyoni, Matondoni, Mokowe and Witu before they were handed over to Contractor.

Speaking during handing over,Director of Tello Company Ltd Maureen Njuguna said, the work of installing the masts will commence very soon.
