Lamu County Governor’s office represented by Chief of Staff Mr. Abdulnasir Issa on Thursday made an impromptu visit at the Mpeketoni Sub-district hospital with an aim of checking the functionality of Government structures and equipment towards quality service delivery to residents.

The Chief of Staff who was accompanied by Disaster Management Chief Officer Mr. Mohamed Kassim noted that the facility was doing well in terms of the provision of the quality healthcare.

He further emphasized on Governor Timamy’s commitment in provision of quality healthcare to residents as a priority area which envisages a functional health system that meets the needs of every resident, well equipped health facilities as well as a well trained and motivated workforce.

The Chief of Staff also inspected the ongoing renovation of public health offices, kitchen, mortuary and the ongoing construction of new wards.

In attendance was the hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Moroa Mohamed.
