County Government of Lamu has commissioned the rehabilitation of 19 water kiosks and 15 chambers across Witu Ward in a bid towards advancing health, economic development, and equality in rural communities. The water kiosks that will have a water rehabilitation line will see all residents have access to clean and safe water for domestic use.

Speaking at Witu when laying the foundation stone of Katumbini water kiosk, Lamu Governor HE Issa Timamy EGH, OGW who was accompanied by his Deputy HE Raphael Munyua committed to enhancing WIWA capacity to provide fresh drinking water in Witu.

Residents commended the County Government for the steps being taken towards improving water supply in Witu and thanked the Governor for increasing funding towards water projects in water-scarce areas across the county.
